Movement, research and artistic practice.
I am a dancer, performer, choreographer and dance educator based in Hamburg.
My artistic practice explores how movement can become more expressive, efficient and alive by listening to the body's natural organization. Inspired by biomechanics, anatomy and contemporary movement research, I investigate how elasticity, momentum and responsiveness shape movement beyond muscular effort.
This ongoing research informs my performances, choreography and teaching.
Artistic Vision
At the center of my work is a simple question: what if the body already knows how to move?
I am interested in the moment where physicality and ease meet, where movement emerges from responsiveness rather than force, and where expression grows from the body's own intelligence.
Rather than shaping movement from the outside, I look for ways of working with the body's natural organization. This ongoing inquiry informs my performances, collaborations and choreographic practice.

Beyond the studio
Alongside my own artistic work, I teach weekly dance to children with experiences of displacement through How to make you feel home, a project originally initiated by Trinidad Martínez and supported by FREIRÄUME Hamburg.
I also manage the DfdK Tanzraumförderung, supporting dance professionals in Hamburg with free studio space for training and artistic research.
I love learning languages and discovering places through them. I speak English, Spanish and Italian fluently and can also get by in Portuguese. Having lived in Spain, Italy and Portugal, I enjoy how another language can open a different way of approaching a culture.
Outside the studio, I love painting, walking and spending time in nature. Painting helps me look closely; walking is probably my favourite way of slowing down and paying attention. I grew up near Lake Starnberg in Bavaria, so forests and water have always felt familiar to me.
My parents have always supported me in finding and following my own way. My mother, Gabriele Fuchs, has encouraged me to stay curious, question things and trust myself. My father, Stefan Fuchs, has always supported my path and encouraged me to follow my love for what I do. I am very grateful for their trust and support.
